A foreign language course requires a minimum of 3 hours weekly and 15 minutes on a daily basis, so when you delay matters, you are doing nothing but inviting failure. Use additional time whenever possible although you should never spend more than 45 minutes studying the language in one session.
Partition your study into many small sessions. If you are serious about learning the language, attend classes regularly in order to pass. Run through your past learning on a regular basis as this is going to improve your learning for example check out your stock of vocabulary. Grasping the written words: Check out only those words where no conjecture can help or whose meanings can not be surmised. Glance through the text book chapters every day taking one small section at a time.

Putting it down on paper: Practice your writing skills every day until they become more natural.
Write down a passage of the language as part of a dictation from a friend and then correct your own writing.
Medley of helps: You ought to have a goal and a good reason for studying the foreign language and develop good feelings towards it.
